Katie Hargrave is a multi-media artist interested in the production of American identity through politics, history, mythology, and narrative. Her exhibit, entitled “It’s not personal,” elevates stories from popular culture, those hidden in the archives, and the everyday conversations from passersby and participants. A public reception for the exhibition will be held on Friday, August 24 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Hargrave will also present an artist’s lecture in the gallery on August 25 at 2:00 p.m.
